Bald Creek Relief is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization
hurricane relief
We are currently seeking donations for purchases of food, paper goods, cleaning products, propane, and tools for our community members in need. We also have bills to pay for our distribution site - rent, insurance, porta-john rental, insurance, pest control, and dumpster removal. Please use the button below to make a financial donation!
community center
Bald Creek Relief is located in an old school building that was purchased by a private citizen from the school board. We currently have a lease on the building through April and the owner has agreed to extend to June. Although he has recently decided he is open to a longer-term lease, the best option to continue to secure our future is to purchase the building. The old school building was built in 1895 and is part of the historic Bald Creek neighborhood. It means SO much to our community members, many of whom attended school there themselves, taught there, or worked there in other capacities over the many years it was open. Our plan is to purchase the building so that we can create Southern Appalachia Community Center where we can provide mental health services, wellness services, meeting/event space, tutoring, classes/workshops, and more as well as continuing to provide supplies for hurricane relief. Donations made through our donorbox here will be put towards purchasing the building, needed renovations (water & heat), and general operating costs. If we do not raise enough to purchase the current building, we will be using it to secure a long-term lease on the current building or purchase/lease our future site.

Please help us! We are praying for a miracle.

Our needed items change quickly as supplies go out to the residents of our community. Financial donations are always best now that we are several months into the recovery phase.
Unless you donate online, please check our most recent NEEDS LIST first. Donations must be scheduled outside of shopping hours for safety and to make sure we have volunteers available to unload. To schedule a delivery, please use our contact form.
